Bathroom Has a Serious Mold Problem in Deal, NJ

We were sent out to a home in Deal, NJ to handle a mold issue in the bathroom. When we arrived and inspected the area, we realized just how bad the mold growth was! Almost every inch of the bathroom ceiling and walls were covered with mold! Using our hygrometer, we noticed that the humidity levels in the bathroom were extremely high. We also discovered that the bathroom didn't have a vent in it and the window was broken and didn't open. Before we began our treatment process, we spoke to the homeowner and highly recommend that they install a functional bathroom vent and get that window fixed ASAP. We were very happy that the owner was already on top of that!

Fortunately, during our inspection, the structural integrity of the sheetrock wasn't comprised - so a tear out wasn't needed. Instead, we treated every square inch of the bathroom with an EPA registered antimicrobial solution called MAPS 1. MAPS 1 is going to attack mold on a cellular level and instantly kill it. Next, we applied our mold stain remover and scrubbed away all the mold stains. Lastly, we applied MAPS 2, which is a patented sealant that encapsulates the surface mold is growing on and renders it harmless and non-allergenic. It's also moisture sensitive and will reactivate whenever it gets wet to prevent any future mold growth.
