A Lot of Mold Growth
A bad leak in the roof caused a lot of water damage and mold growth throughout the garage.

Need to Take This Out
Since the structural integrity of the sheetrock was compromised, the only solution was to remove those sections of wall that were completely damaged and contaminated by mold.

Gotta Be Careful When Removing
In these situations, it is critical to carefully remove the materials so the mold spores are not dislodged and reattach elsewhere. Unlike asbestos, which is a dead mineral, mold is a living, breathing fungus that multiplies and will continue to spread if the conditions are conducive to mold growth.

Mold Growing Behind the Wall
As we removed the sections of the wall, we found a lot of mold growing behind the areas.

Attacking the Mold with MAPS
Once everything was removed and disposed of properly, we treated the entire garage with an EPA registered antimicrobial solution called MAPS 1. MAPS 1 attacks mold on a cellular level and kills it quickly.

Next Two Treatments
After that, we applied our mold stain remover and scrubbed any and all mold stains throughout the garage. After that, we applied MAPS 2. MAPS 2 is a patented sealant that encapsulates the surface mold is growing on and renders it harmless and non-allergenic. It's also moisture sensitive and will reactivate whenever it gets wet to prevent any future mold growth. Now the garage is free from dangerous mold growth and the homeowner can properly repair all the damages.
