Randy Vogel has been with Cowleys since 2016. He started as a residential sales representative, and was soon promoted to commercial service manager, one of our key supervisory positions. Randy has become a highly valued addition to our management team.
Randy oversees almost all of our field technicians. He supervising both commercial pest operations as well as all projects involving the maintenance and improvement of homes and commercial structures. Cowleys has an experienced construction crew that offers an array of services beyond pest and wildlife control. These technicians treat mold, encapsulate (“CleanSpace”) crawl spaces, install insulation, and handle a variety of projects relating to exclusion and repair work due to from pest and wildlife infestations.
Prior to joining Cowleys, Randy had both entrepreneurial experience running his own business and 14 years in pest control services in which he held a variety of positions within the industry. It’s no exaggeration to say that Randy has a first-hand understanding of of virtually every position in a pest control services company. He started from the ground floor as a pest control technician, and companies recognized his potential. He became an inspector, and then took positions in sales and management. In his prior positions, Randy had worked with two of Cowleys largest affiliates, the Christmas Decor franchise, which provides the latest state-of-the-art holiday decorations, and Basement Systems, which licenses pest control companies to use its products for crawl space encapsulation and waterproofing, making the transition here even easier.
Randy spends much of his day in the field interacting customers. He especially enjoys helping homeowners resolve a variety of issues that Cowleys is equipped to handle. These include not only pest control solutions, but also property issues like moisture and mold in crawl spaces and attics, and adequate attic insulation. Randy’s forte is inspecting a home to identify actual and potential issues that could lead to property damage and then develop effective solutions to get those issues resolves. He finds it most satisfying to educate customers without using intimidating technical jargon. He wants customers to understand exactly what the problem is and how it is going to be solved. By doing so, he takes the worry and anxiety out of home repair projects. Randy consistently goes above and beyond customer expectations and, as an entrepreneur, understands the importance building long-lasting relationships in the community.
When not working, Randy spends most of his free time with his wife and two children, appreciating every minute he spends with them. However, on weekends, every so often just to escape, he enjoys those “man” activities like bowling, fishing, billiards, and friendly two-hand touch football, which is really just an excuse to get together with his friends to have a good time with good food and even better refreshments.
