Mold from a Flood
There was recent water damage to the office and mold had started to grow all over the area.
Cut Out the Sheetrock
Often, with our treatment process, we can treat the mold directly without removing the building materials on which the mold is growing. However, once there is significant water damage, as was the case here, the materials cannot be salvaged and the materials must be removed and disposed of properly.
The DNA
Once all of the contaminated materials had been removed, we began treating the area with our EPA registered product called Mold Abatement Polymer Solutions 1 (MAPS 1 for short). MAPS 1 targets mold at its DNA and kills it immediately!
MAPS 2 is Next
We then scrubbed away any and all of the mold stains with our stain remover and applied MAPS 2.
What is MAPS 2?
MAPS 2 is a moisture sensitive, patented sealant that encapsulates the surface that the mold is growing on and renders it harmless, inert, and non-allergenic. It also prevents future mold spores from growing. Now the mold has been removed and the owner can begin the renovations!
