Flood in Office Leads to Tear Out and Mold Treatment in Hillsborough, NJ

Recently, we were sent out to an office building in Hillsborough, NJ to handle an intense mold problem. The owner informed us that there was a severe water leak in one of the offices that occurred over the weekend while no one was present. When the staff had returned on Monday, black mold was growing all over the walls. Often, with our treatment process, we can treat the mold directly without removing the building materials on which the mold is growing. However, once there is significant water damage and the sheetrock has been comprised, which was the case here, the materials cannot be salvaged and must be removed and disposed of properly.

Once all of the contaminated materials had been removed, we began treating the area with our EPA registered product called Mold Abatement Polymer Solutions 1 (MAPS 1 for short). MAPS 1 targets mold at its DNA and kills it immediately! We then scrubbed away any and all of the mold stains with our stain remover and applied MAPS 2. MAPS 2 is a moisture sensitive, patented sealant that encapsulates the surface that the mold is growing on and renders it harmless, inert, and non-allergenic. It also prevents future mold spores from growing.
